Today will be something special from Europe: THE MAGICAL SURREALISM from France.
The one and only: Claude Verlinde.

There are his paintings, so I will go just to talk about his world. :)

The Fantastic Realism or the MAGIC Realism is the link from the XIV-th Century ( Hieronymus Bosch) or the XVIII- th Century ( Goya) with the XIX-XX-th Centuries.

His passion and sensitivity are in his works.
The young women with perfect skin like virgins, small tits and usually looking one side , not directly in the eyes, as they would look over your shoulder and talk with someone else…

” The sleep of reason produces monsters ” said Goya upon a time and he was right.
Here, men are deheaded and replaced by the animals ends or they are decomposed or changed to death.
Can love be a reason that makes impossible the connection between the real world – represented by the woman – and that from another world – be it the relationship between man and woman – ?

It’s a world full of magic and unreal heroes, came from other areas and that, once found on the same plane , show their different personalities: good or evil, kindness and cruelty, care or fear.
Sometimes he turn people into objects because ‘For me, monotony and death seem one and the same (thing) ” said Charlotte Brontë or rather said by Edith Wharton : ” Beware of monotony , is the start of all mortal sins.”
Look at the couple metamorphosed in chairs or sofas = they have no emotional connection : it peep from him , which seems drained of life or simply absent from the scene.
The girl who’s looking in ‘the mirror’ surrounded by debris male organs and sees a girl with leaves instead of hands, with a leave on her pubic area, is like a scene from a dream of female subconscious.
Verlinde ‘s World is ONE of exciting unreal situations – apparently – but transposing real emotional in cruelty facts : she wants present and future, while the man always brings pieces of the past, he wear fragments of selfishness by showing their absence.
Is A story of monotony and its reveals and the theme of death played by men.
